Pandemic and rise of digital health

The COVID 19 pandemic causes radical changes in many areas of our lives, has deeply affected healthcare professionals and all health systems, who are the backbone of this struggle, and revealed the importance of digitization. The nursing industry is also changing at a rapid rate. Nurses are an unstoppable force. They are the heroes of our healthcare system, caring for both the sick and healthy across the world, an integral part of society. With shifting technology, an aging patient population and new challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, the nursing industry is being forced to evolve to ensure that hospitals and other care organizations can continue to provide the best possible care. With the increase in data for many years, the diversification of the tools to process these data, the increase in wearable devices and other information sources, digital health was already becoming one of the remarkable areas in healthcare. Technology has undergone an even quicker alteration in the last few years with the pandemic and has radically rearranged the basis of hospital and nursing care. There are voluminous differences in the familiar traditional systems especially through and after the Covid-19 days. As technology advances, so does the amount of health care data that is collected through information technology such as electronic health records, patient portals and wearable devices. The information is analyzed and leveraged to make appropriate changes to existing procedures and clinical strategies. This trend is having a significant impact on nursing practice in hospitals and other care organizations. Informatics’ growing role is changing the way that nurses record and communicate patient information, how care is coordinated and the development of evidence-based practices. In addition to affecting nurses’ day-to-date work, the increased use of informatics is creating positions for professionals who want to focus entirely on the intersection of nursing and data. Some specific jobs titles pursued by nursing professionals include the following: • Clinical informatics specialist • Nursing informatics specialist • Clinical analyst • Clinical informatics manager • Clinical informatics coordinator • Nursing informatics analyst Even nurses who do not pursue a full-time data-related role likely will become more involved in the practice of informatics as health information technology continues to grow in popularity. Therefore we should take into account the dramatically changed context and the rapidly deployed changes in clinical care, nurse education, nursing leadership, and nursing-community partnerships as a result of the pandemic. So, we need to consider the role of nurses in improving the health of individuals, families, and communities by addressing social determinants of health and providing effective, efficient, equitable, and accessible care for all across the care continuum, as well as identifying the system facilitators and barriers to achieving this goal. We should also consider he current and future deployment of all levels of nurses across the care continuum, including in collaborative practice models such as digital care, to address the challenges of building a culture of health. For this reason, the main theme of the congress is decided to be “Global Congress on Digital Health, Future Nursing and Patient Care” during March 17-18, 2023 at Bangkok, Thailand in order to maintain the reinforcement of continuous quality improvement, provide patient safety, discuss the necessity of new practices and to make experts out of people who work on the field by increasing their knowledge and skills. In developing its recommendations for the future decade of nursing in the world from domestic and global examples of evidence-based models of care, we will also discuss. • The role of the nursing profession in assuring that the voice of individuals, families and communities are incorporated into the design and operations of clinical and community health systems. • The training and competency-development needed to prepare nurses, including advanced practice nurses, to work outside of acute care settings and to lead efforts to build a culture of health and health equity, and the extent to which current curriculum meets these needs. • The ability of nurses to serve as change agents in creating systems that bridge the delivery of health care and social needs care in the community. • The research needed to identify or develop effective nursing practices for eliminating gaps and disparities in health care. • The importance of nurse well-being and resilience in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and improving community health. • The role of nurses in response to emergencies that arise due to natural and man-made disasters and the impact on health equity. Additionally, it is also planned to focus on the following issues related to the subject: • Innovations and change management in nursing services • Clinical quality improvement methods in nursing practices • Patient safety, risk management and reduction of medical errors in nursing • Reviewing existing methods in the prevention of healthcare- caused incidents that threaten patient safety, the importance of evidence-based practices, • Patient-centered care • Cost-effectiveness in service delivery and maintenance • Moral and ethical behaviors in the delivery of health services. • Risk management The Pioneer Events LLC has been creating a platform where methods and innovations that improve the quality of nursing care and ensure patient and employee safety will be discussed, as well as the opportunity to discuss the experiences and practices required to provide safer, effective, and effective health services to the participants. We hope that you will join us in “Global Congress on Digital Health, Future Nursing and Patient Care” that will be held in Bangkok in March 2023.
